Growing up in a small village, far from the fast-paced digital world, I could never have imagined a future in IT. But life has a funny way of leading us where we need to go. In 2002, I stumbled into the world of technology by accident. It was pure chance, but I quickly found myself captivated by it. I fell in love with the endless possibilities, the challenge of solving problems, and the thrill of learning something new every day.

Since then, it’s been quite a journey. I’ve earned my degree, tackled international certifications, and built a career that I’m proud of. But getting here was anything but easy. It was a bumpy road filled with self-doubt, mistakes, and countless “learn-as-you-go” moments. I often wished there had been someone to guide me, to show me the way, to make the journey just a little smoother.

I know there are countless resources out there on the internet, places where kids can learn about IT and cybersecurity. But for many children in disadvantaged areas, these resources feel like distant stars, out of reach and often unknown. I believe that seeing a familiar face—a face they can relate to—can make all the difference. Sometimes, all you need is a light close enough to follow, and you find the courage to take that first step.

That’s why I created SheSecuresNet. I want this website to be a guiding light for kids in my village and for anyone who dreams of making it in this vast digital world. I know what it’s like to grow up feeling like everything you want is out of reach. And if this platform can help even one village girl or boy see that they, too, can have a place in IT, then every bump in the road has been worth it.

This site is for all the dreamers, the kids with big ambitions, and anyone who needs a little help finding their way.
